Heart Stabilizer is a published iPhone and Apple Watch app that we built from scratch. In a session of about 5 minutes, it reads the user’s pulse and works out what the rate should be a few seconds from now. Then it paces the user there. Vibration, a heartbeat sound and an animated heart all fire on the same beat

Most health apps record a number and draw a chart. This one works out the next target and paces the user toward it. Vibration, sound and animation must fire together, at an interval that keeps changing
The model that sets each next target is derived from the golden ratio. It is the intellectual property of the product.
If vibration and sound are even 100 milliseconds apart, the user feels that something is off. So all three channels fire at the same moment.
The user pairs an Apple Watch, sets up a profile, picks a mode and then follows the vibration, sound and animation
A session lasts about five minutes. The app reads the pulse, works out what it should be a few seconds from now, and paces the user there.
Vibration, a heartbeat sound and an animated heart fire together on every beat, even as the interval between beats changes.
The app reads the pulse live from an Apple Watch and shows how it changes during the session. Without a watch, the user enters it by hand.
Every session is saved to the account. The history shows progress over time and is there on a new phone.
